I am working with First Things First for this promotion and they will be supplying the giveaway prize. All opinions are my own.
Summer is all about family and spending quality time with the ones you love. And the more skills you develop the more time you invest in your family and your relationships. First Things First is an award winning not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening families.
There are some really helpful videos on their website. I really like this one called “Dad’s Way”.
I can totally relate to this video. I’m generally the one that can’t help but to think about my kids getting hurt falling out of the tree or landing wrong jumping off the swing. Hubby on the other hand, is sometimes like a big kid himself, in a good way. Being a bit more of a risk taker than I am is great when it comes to playing with the kiddos, they all have a blast playing together!
So, what did you think about the video? Can you relate?

WOW! I really like the videos on e-learning on different topics. I watched the one called Premarital Adventure and it is so true to be prepared before marriage and know what to expect. I will have to look at the other videos over the coming weeks.

I learned that this website offers a wealth of information and videos on parenting at all ages. They also have alot of information on marriage and I enjoyed the “Couples Who Work Together” article. Parenting is all about teamwork and this article emphasizes that!

I love the Dad’s Day video! IT is so true. I am so protective and my husband…not so much. I mean he would not let the kids get hurt but when I see what he does I kinda freak out. It is all good though. Daddy deserves his day too!

I learned that there are really important classes to take and that will help you strive in your relationship. Communication is very important to make the relationship work.

I learned when communicating you have to be clear and honest. It doesnt pay to beat around the bush nor does it pay not to just say what you feel..

I didn’t like the beginning of this video. “If I had a dime for every time I said STOP, you’re going to get hurt . . .”
I work in pediatric rehab, if I had a dime for every time someone was hurt because no one told them to stop, I’d be independently wealthy.
