Here is a great little flower snack idea for the kiddos. This would also be cute to make for Mom on Mother’s Day.
The first thing I did was make the “petals” using pinwheels. See my Turkey Pinwheels Recipe for how to make those.
I arranged the pinwheels in a circle. I then took a slice of cheese and folded it in half twice to make it thicker, cut it into a circle, and placed it in the center of the flower.
For the hearts, I used a slice of Sargento Ultra Thin Cheese because using a slice that thin made it incredibly easy to cut out whatever shape I wanted by simply using a toothpick.
For the stem, I used a pickle spear. I had to cut part of it away to make it thinner in order for it to lay the way I wanted. Then, I used my kitchen shears to cut out the two leaves.
Just put it all together and Voila!

WOW thank you! I love this! We will have my husband’s daughters part of this summer and there is sometimes a struggle getting the youngest one to order anything other than pepperoni pizza. This will definitely help me to get her eating healthier! Thanks again! – Heather, Life of a Traveling Navy Wife
